Where do you find motivation when it's been gone for so long?

These past few years have been really tough on me. I think the biggest weight on my shoulders has to be the fact that I can't get pregnant. Well, I can get pregnant, I just haven't been able to yet. Chris and I have been trying for over 6 years now. It's pretty depressing to me. It's really taken over my life. I don't ever talk about it because I feel like no one really understands how I am feeling.

I want to be a mom so badly. I have tears in my eyes as I write this because it hurts my soul so badly that I am not able to have that joy.

I want to have a positive outlook on this situation, but how? It's so hard while you are going through it. Every time I see someone pregnant or with a new baby I get this ache in the pit of my stomach. I sit there and imagine it was me. I want to and need to be able to move on. What if I'm never able to get pregnant? I can't live this way forever.

I'm not looking for a pity party. I have needed to get this off my chest for such a long time. Maybe it's the start of my healing process.

For almost a year now I have been dreaming of this bedding from Anthropologie. Oh how I wish it was mine. The price tag is a {small} $440 :) I think for now I will have to keep dreaming!!

Thrifty Treasures!!

I have been browsing the thrift stores for some good deals. Here are a few items I got...
This red chair has to be the BEST deal I have ever heard of. Are you ready for it??? I paid $3.99 for it! That's right!!! Three dollars and ninety-nine cents!! I was so happy!!It needs a real good cleaning, and eventually I will have it reupholstered!

My next find is this Chandeliere. I paid .99 for it! It is currently being transformed into a beauty! I can't wait for it to be finished!

And last but not least is this stool. Chris found it in a dumpster, I think, so that makes it free!
I have already finished painting and upholstering it, but I don't have a picture of it finished. That will happen later this week when I post pictures of my Craft Table!

Moms are Special!

I know this is SuPeR late, but it is better late than never right!?!
Chris and I just wanted to let our Mom's know how much we love them and appreciate all that they have done for us over the years. I don't think that moms ever get enough credit for all the things they do for their children. We love you guys so much and hope that you know that.

One of my all time favorite things is to receive flowers! (Someday I will have a garden for a backyard) So for Mother's Day I made our moms Strawberry Jam and these super cute cards!! (I can say that they are cute even though I made them right?!) We also got them some BeAuTiFuL flowers that smelt so good!

Even though I am not technically a mom yet, I am preparing for the future!! So for Mother's Day Chris got me this SUPER cool bike!!!

I love it so much and have ridden it almost every night since I got it!

I hope all of you that are moms had a special day!

Strawberry Feilds

I wish I had fields of Strawberries! ~sigh~ I bought this little plant this year hoping that it would produce lots of yummy strawberries for me. Boy was I wrong... I got these three strawberries and that. was. it. I was so sad. There were lots and lots of blooms, 37 to be exact. But the heat came and killed them all. Dang heat. I so badly want to live somewhere where I can have a garden.

Home grown strawberries seem so much sweeter to me than the ones bought at the store. Have you noticed that, or is it just me?

I did however make homemade Strawberry Jam! Oh it turned out SO well! I LoVe homemade jam!! It is one of my favorite things! (Thanks to my friend Heidi who helped me make it all)
I will tell you more about the jam later...

Mmm Mmm Good!!

My name is Taina... and I'm a Chocoholic!
I mad THE most delicious cupcakes! You do have to LOVE chocolate to like these!
Here is the recipe...

1c. sugar
3/4c. cocoa
1c. milk
1 beaten egg

Mix the above ingredients in a soucepan. Stir and cook until it boils, then set aside.
3/4c. butter
2 eggs(unbeaten)
1c. sugar

Cream together the butter and sugar, then add eggs and mix well.

Add chocolate mixture. (it will be hot)

2c. flour
1/2c. milk
1tsp. baking soda
1tsp. vanilla
1/2tsp. salt

Mix dry ingrediants together. Measure milk into a cup and add vanilla. Add about half of the dry ingredients:mix then add milk mixture and mix. Add the rest of the dry ingredients and mix until blended. Put into cupcake tins about 2/3 full. (I use a icecream scoop to do this) Bake at 350 for 18 minutes. Let cool before frosting.

Frosting:
3/4c. cocoa
1/8tsp. salt
5 Tbsp. butter
5 Tbsp. milk
3c. powdered sugar
1tsp. vanilla
Melt cocoa and butter together in a saucepan. In a mixing bowl, combine powdered sugar, salt milk, vanilla and chocolate mixture. Beat until smooth. (I like to use a lot of frosting, so I doubled the recipe) Fill a heavy duty ziplock bag (freezer one should work) with the frosting. Cut one of the bottom corners off and squeeze out the frosting into a swirl. (if you use a regular ziplock bag it will start oozing and make a huge mess...believe me!)
Wahlah! You have yummy and delicious Chocolate Cupcakes!

Four Weeks???

Holy Cow... I CAN NOT believe that it has been an entire month since I last posted. Here are a couple of reasons why:
1. I don't have the internet at home. It totally stinks. I'm pretty sure that if I had the internet at home I would blog mutiple times a week, but for now it is speratic.
2. I was waiting for my dang Craft Table to be finished. Chris has been super busy with work lately (No compalints from me! At least he has a job right?). So it has been a "spare time" project. Which is fine, I just want it done already!
3. I have so many things to blog about it's kind of overwhelming. It is going to take me hours to catch up. But it will get done!
Come back later this week (I know it's Wednesday, but there are still a few days left in the week!) and you can see what I have been working on...

Project of the Week: Headboard

Last Monday I showed you my {unfinished} headboard.
Here is what it looks like now...

I LOVE it SOOOO much!! I can't believe it took me this long to finish it! I still need to decorate, so pay no attention to the blank walls! I will give you a little run through of how I finished the headboard.
First: I painted it "Antique White"

I really loved the way it looked at this stage and was kind of sad to continue.
{but I knew it would look soooo much better if I did}
Second: I gave it a light sanding {this is a very important step}
Third: I painted it black. {I forgot to take a picture}
Fourth: I sanded all the edges by hand, and then I sanded the rest with an electric sander

I don't have the best camera, so these pictures don't really do it justice.
This weeks project...
A Craft Table!
Chris decided that he was tired of seeing all my scrapbook stuff everywhere he turned! {I can't help it, I'm addicted} So he told me to find something I liked and he would make it for me!

The only difference will be that my table will be painted "Antique White", and Chris wants to add some extra moulding! I am super excited! I am in one of those moods where I want to get organized, and I know this will help do the trick!
On an side note, Chris said that he is willing to make any these things {or anything you have a picture of} for you! Just contact me for any specifics and pricing!

Spring Break

My friend Katie invited me to take a road trip with her to Utah for spring break! We left Wednesday morning and returned Sunday evening. It was a nice quick trip out of the heat!

We celebrated Mason's 6th Birthday!
This is the house that I was born in! It was so fun driving by with my sister April because she told me fun stories of when we lived there. I was 4 when we moved away, so I remember it, but not really. Does that make sense?
Overall it was a really fun trip and I am glad that Katie invited me to go!

Late Valentine's Date post...

I meant to post this a while ago, but never got around to it.
We had a very nice Valentine's Date! Chris brought me home these lovely roses!
Our plan was to go eat at the Cheesecake Factory, but when we got there it was too long of a wait and we were starving {We didn't plan ahead very well}. We ended up going to Paradise Bakery {and it was delicious}!

I had been planning for a couple of weeks to take Chris Ice Skating for our Valentines Date {secretively}! Our first kiss was when we were Ice Skating!

Afterwards we decided to get Sprinkles Cupcakes! I have heard so much about them, and I had been waiting for an excuse to try them! They were so yummy!
After dessert we went and saw Shopaholic in the Theatres! It was pretty funny! And a good end to a great night!

My sister was in town visiting with her kids last week. I tried to find some fun, FREE things to do, and this is one thing I came up with. {Thanks to Bargain Moms for the idea!}

Turning my HOUSE into a HOME has been a little difficult {because we are renters}. There are so many things I would do if it were MINE. This is one thing that I do to help it feel more like HOME...
I have a wreath for every season! I LOVE my wreaths! And recently I have been trying to figure out a way to say " Welcome, come on in!" {I guess I took it literally!} I used Vinyl Lettering, and I think it turned out just as I wanted!

Valentine Swap~

Remember the Valentine Swap I signed up for? Today I FINALLY got around to mailing it! After I got assigned my partner I got together with my friend Katie {Who also signed up for the Swap!} to brainstorm. I REALLY wanted to make a Apron for my partner, but I am not very talented {yet} at sewing. We decided to make LOVE signs, decorative clips, a table runner, and a Cook Book of Love! I also sent my partner Heart shaped measuring spoons, some Peanut Butter filled Chocolate Hearts, and a notepad with Post-its. Here is how everything turned out...

I took a picture of the Cook Book before it was finished. It Ended up saying "Valentines Day Recipes".
I think everything turned out cute and I hope that Ashley likes it all!

Yesterday Chris and I decided to take a drive and look at some model homes.
{By the way, we found the perfect house}
As we were leaving I noticed a cow/bull in some one's {large} backyard stuck in barbed wire. I wasn't sure what to do. His side had been torn up and was all bloody. We pulled over to make sure he got out. As we were standing there watching the bull, this guy came to greet us!

He was so friendly and soft! We probably stood there for 10 minutes petting him!
{By the way the bull got out of the barbed wire all by himself}

In October I realized how much I missed my nieces and nephews {who live in Utah and Idaho}. I decided that I want to have a better relationship with them
{and that is when the goody bags started}
For Christmas I sent them Snowman Soup!
{Hot Cocoa, White Chocolate/Chocolate Chip Swirls, and Marshmallows}

I just found out about this wesite called Scrapblog. Have you heard of it? I found it here. It is a online scrapbook design website that is free. Yes, you heard me right, FREE! {I get excited when I hear that word!} I was going to handmake my Christmas cards this year, but as you can see it is the 17th of Decemeber and I haven't even started. I was searching for a way to digi-scrap them {I don't have photoshop or any other program to digi-scrap{it is on my wish list!} so this website works perfectly for me! Here are a couple cards that I have come up with so far. They are still a work in progress. I think we are going to take pictures this weekend to put in the place of these ones. What do you think?

NestingPlace is hosting a Holiday Garland Show and Tell! I am so excited to take part of the festivities! I made my garland a couple of years ago. I think it is still missing something... maybe some pine cones, lights and other knickknacks! After Christmas I will get some things on sale and add to it! I wish I had a fireplace. ...A December Calendar!

I couldn't decide if I wanted this to be a countdown or a daily calendar. I figured I would remember better if it were a daily calendar! I got this cute Making Memories paper from the scrapbook store. I put magnets on the back of each number and a magnet on the wood. I love the way it turned out! Here are some things that I am Thankful for today...
1.I am Thankful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
2.I am Thankful for family and our close relationships
3.I am Thankful for Chris. He truly is my BEST FRIEND!
4.I am Thankful for rain! It makes any day a better day!
5.I am Thankful for pretty things (I know it sounds stupid, but I LOVE pretty things)!
6.I am Thankful for modern day technology. Cameras would be one example! I love that you can capture a moment in time, and remember it forever
7.I am Thankful I have a warm house to go home to, and a car that functions
8.I am Thankful for music. I'm not too picky. I love church music because it helps you to feel the spirit. I love other music that makes you feel better, or happy when you are sad, or something you can relate to when you are having a bad day
9.I am Thankful for good food! Especially good Chocolate!
10.I am Thankful for my dogs! I love them more than words can explain. They keep me company through the day. They are the first to come cuddle with me when they can sense I am upset or sad. They protect me. And they have prepared me in a way for children.
There are many more things that I am Thankful for, but I just wanted to name a few.

I love Thanksgiving! It is the perfect time of year to get together with family and have good food and fun! This year I made a Pumpkin roll for the Fallbeck Dinner and a Cherry Pie for the Wilson Dinner. It was my very first time making cherry pie. In the end it was pretty yummy! I do have to say that it was better as leftovers then fresh out of the oven. I usually forget to take "before" pictures, but this time i forgot to take an "after" picture! Oh well, someday I will get it right!

My mom usually takes 100 pictures for every occasion, but for some reason this is the only one she took. It will have to do!
I hope everyone had a delightful Thanksgiving!

This past Saturday was my ward's Enrichment Day. I wasn't planning on going because I didn't sign up for anything to make. I did offer to bring Texas Sheet Cake. So I was going to go drop it off and visit for a few minutes and go home. I am SO GLAD that I decided to go!! A lady in my ward had a storage bin of leftover vinyl lettering that she was giving away for free, yes for FREE!! I got a lot of really fun stuff!

Chris and I LOVE to be festive and support the holidays! We usually go all out. This year we couldn't decide what to be. We ended up going to EVERY single Goodwill and Savers in the east valley {on Thursday October 30th, a little last minute I know}. This is what we came up with...
No one could tell what we were. We weren't anyone specific, just a cop and his wife from the 70's!
We went to Trent and Lucy's house for a party. It was family style, so people brought their kids. There was games and yummy food. We ended up bringing a Bean Bag Toss. {for some reason I don't have any pictures of it} Bryan and Michelle brought a {cup}Cake Walk. There was a Costume Contest {we didn't win...next year} and we took a hayride to go trick-or-treating.

Here is one of the games we played... We were divided into 2 teams, and given 3 bags of "secret" items. We had 5 minutes to open the bags and decide a theme and how to dress ourselves in them. {TEAM 1} ALUMINUM FOIL, CONSTRUCTION PAPER, and RIBBON. We decided to become WARRIORS!

{TEAM 2} PURPLE PLASTIC TABLE CLOTHS, GREEN STREAMERS, and WHITE GARBAGE BAGS. They decided to become ONE EYED, ONE HORNED, FLYING PURPLE PEOPLE EATERS.

The next part of the game was a SCAVENGER HUNT. We had to run to the neighbors houses to find 3 things...
1. A PENCIL
2. Something with a PUMPKIN on it
3. Four large MARSHMALLOWS

All in all we had a really FUN night! It was really fun remenicing about old times with the cousins! We have a lot of good memories together! Untill next time...

I planted MUM Flowers the other day! I think they are beautiful, and the perfect fall colors! They sit right by my front door! The only weird thing is when I water them this really dark brown ooze comes out of the bottom of the pot? What is it? The other thing I'm not sure about is... How often do I water them? I know you can over-water flowers and you can obviously not give them enough water. I always kill them and for once I would like to keep them alive! If you have any suggestions please leave a comment! I would really appreciate it!

I know this must seem silly to some people, but I am SUPER excited about it! We have lived in this house for almost a year now and it has never really felt like home. Now that we have planted grass it gives our house a totally different feeling! And now the dogs are able to go outside and not come in with dirt all over them! :)

Fall has finally arrived... It's about time!! This past week has been BEAUTIFUL weather!! If only it would last. Today it was back to 95 degrees. In a couple weeks it will be back to it's beautiful self. Fall has to be my favorite time of year. I love the cooler weather. On Sunday we were able to plant winter grass! I can't wait for it to come up! I love the way baby grass looks! It's the perfect color of green! When it starts to pop up I will post some pictures. As for now please cross your fingers with me in hope that it WILL pop up! I'm not sure if I'm doing this 100% correctly. Let's hope I'm not waisting any time here! I got these pumpkins the other night. They looked a little bare just sitting there, so there went the ribbon! I have come to the conclusion that I LOVE ribbon! You can put it on ANYTHING and it will give it a completely different look! Viola`! Ribbon has to be one of the best things invented (creatively wise)!

Chris and I got married 4 years ago today! It seems like forever. But when I really think about it, 4 years isn't that long. Today was a great day! It poored rain (which is my favorite!) and because of the rain Chris got off work early! (He works on the roof with his dad) He brought me home these flowers! Aren't they pretty?
For dinner we ate Chinese Food! Yummy! This fall we are going to take a trip to celebrate our anniversary! The location is yet to be determined. Here are a few pictures from the last 4 years of our life...

In August our company had a Summer Retreat in Palm Springs, California! It was at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort. This place was BEAUTIFUL! Here are a few pictures...

Friday night was also Awards Night. They started naming off the numbers and we thought that we didn't even come close. We ended up taking 5th in 2 categories!!!! The second night was a Costume Party with a "Sea" theme. Chris and I dressed up as Hawaiians!

We went to watch my brother in law Steve in his Baseball tournament, and MaiLee fell off the bleachers right here and cut her ear open. Luckily that was all that happened because as you can see this is pretty dangerous.

Last time I was in Utah I didn't have a camera, so I am really excited to share the beauty!! My mom, my little brother Chay and I came to Utah for a couple of reasons.
#1 4th of July! As long as I can remember we have come up to Utah for the 4th. They have such great traditions here, plus it is BEAUTIFUL weather!!
#2 My great grandma is turning 99 and we are having a Birthday Party for her. She is in Amazing health, because she walks 2 miles everyday. Even I don't do that! Yet!

I just wanted to give a shout out to some really SPECIAL Westwood Graduates! Today is the start of a new beginning for you guys! My sister-in-law Stefani and 2 of my friends Kathleen & Cherie! I am so excited for you guys and that is why I had to do this...

We went to Kathleen and Cherie's house first. Everything went really well there!

This is Elyse (My partner in crime!) This was her first time stringing! I love introducing new, fun things to people!

Then we went over to Stefani's house. When we pulled up we noticed that her truck was gone. This was not a good sign. I was kinda freaking out because I was sad that we weren't going to be able to do this. So Elyse sent Stefani a text asking her what she was doing! We found out that she was having a slumber party at a friend's house, so that is where we headed! When we got there I could hear them talking in the front room! We were really quiet and where able to get the job done!! Just when we were almost finished the door opened and 2 of the girls came out. I was at the car down the street grabbing the camera, but Elyse was still there! She took off running and they never saw her! It was so funny watching them try and get to their car! Anyways it was really fun and I hope you girls enjoy it! Sure Love Ya!

On Sunday we had my family over for a BBQ. It was really fun! We played our new favorite game, Rumikub, and rode the ATC and Dirt bike around!
For Dessert Chris wanted Texas SheetCake, so that is what I made! It was so yummy!

Last night we had Chris' family over for a BBQ! I didn't take any pictures, but we had a good time! We played pool, rumikub and mancala. We had hamburgers and hot dogs, which were yummy! Does any one know of a place in QC that fills propane tanks? Because we definately couldn't find one, and ended up using charcol. It turned out good, but took twice as long to make.

So this was last night. Today is my sister in law Michelle's Birthday! Happy Birthday Michelle! So Chris and I decided that we would try this stringing thing that our friends Marci and Darrian introduced to us. It actually is really fun! Although it would have been a lot easier if they would have had some more plants in their yard or something to wrap the string around! We made it work though! When we got in the car to leave I noticed that I forgot to leave the cookies that I made her... To make a long story short I had to crawl on the ground to get to the front door, put the cookies down and crawl back to the car! It was really funny actually!

On Saturday I sent Chris to the grocery store because we were having a BBQ that night and he came home with some more flowers! I think they go perfectly with the original ones! I love having fresh flowers! They make you feel happier I think! If I had my choice I would have fresh flowers every week! (If he keeps this up I think we might!)

On Thursday Chris brought me these flowers! Aren't they pretty? I love that he loves me so much !

On Sunday March 9th Chris and I decided to take a night ride on the ATC! It was such a PERFECT night! The weather was just right, and the sky was clear so you could see all the stars! We have a couple miles of dirt fields behind our house, so we rode out there for about an hour! It was really fun!

On Saturday March 8th my cousin Bree-N went through the temple. This is everyone who came to support her. Bree-N is in the front center, I am standing behind my Aunt Tudy and her husband Montana. Then there is my dad standing in back with me and my mom in front of him. Then some of Bree-N's friends and my Aunt Nancy in the very back. It was neat being able to share that experience with her!

Last night we had game night at Marci and Darrian's! Crystal, David and their daughter Tannon came over too! It was really fun! When I was in Utah I played Rumikub for the first time... I'm addicted! I love it! Chris and I went out and bought it of course! And that's what we played! We didn't really have much time to play any other games though! I was satisfied! Then we had Hot Fudge Brownie Sundaes with Carmel, Nuts, Oreos, and Sprinkels! I'm not a big fan of sprinkels, but other people liked them! Oh by the way the ice cream was Birthday Cake Ice Cream! Yum it's the best! And then we watched Invicible!! I love that movie because Mark Wahlberg is SO GOOD LOOKING!!! It was really fun and we had a good night! We will definately do it again!

I got back from Utah on Wednesday. I was kinda sad to leave, I love it there! I went there the 3rd of February to watch my sister's kids while they went to Hawaii! I had a great time! She has 2 kids... Mason who is 4 and MaiLee who will be 2 in May. They are really great and we had a lot of fun! Mason broke his arm right before I went up there, so we couldn't really go play in the snow or anything. And I don't have a camera, so I couldn't take pictures. I was really sad about that, because they are so cute! We had a couple of really good snow storms while I was there!! It is so BEAUTIFUL there, a nice change of scenery from sunny Arizona ! The tempurature ranged from 12-39 degrees! It was so nice! Most people would think that is freezing, but I REALLY enjoyed it! I did get a few pictures when my sister got home, so I am just waiting for her to email them to me and then I will post them! While I was there I got a pedicure from April's friend Gina (Who by the way did a great job!) and then when April got home she gave me a massage!! I love getting massages!! And she is the BEST!! Seriously... I'm not just saying that because she is my sister, she really is very good! And she also gave me money to get a camera!!! I am so excited... just looking for the right one!! It's kinda weired because I really miss Mason and MaiLee. We grew really close while I was there. Well you think we would because we were with eachother 24 hours a day for 9 days. I really love them and can't wait to move up there!! I am also really excited to have my own kids because now I know that I can do it and not go insane!! Anyways the point of this post is... I LOVE Utah, I love April and her family, and I am excited to have a baby whenever it happens!!

When all was said and done I ended up cutting off between 13 and 14 inches! I know it's crazy! I like change though! I was inspired by Katie Holmes... I really love her hair! And I love how my hair turned out! It only took me a day or so to get use to it. The only thing is I wish I had more bangs. I talked to my sister today and she said that she just got her bangs cut like Katie. She loves them too! I'm a tad jealous, so when I go up there in February I am going to get my bangs cut a little more! Happy Birthday to me!!

...Happy Birthday to me! Today is my Birthday... I love Birthdays!! This past year has been unbelievable! I am very excited to start this next year of my life! It's only 8:45am right now and my day is already going Fabulous! I woke up this morning to this...

I got stringed! I was so suprised! If you look closely you will notice the confetti on the ground.
By the way, we left at 6am, and we don't have street lights by our house so it is pitch black outside.

So Chris and I are trying to make our way to the car. Chris decided to go around and I decided to go through the maze! We both get stuck and our dogs are just running around every where because they can fit under it all!! It took us like 10 minutes to get to our car! It was really funny! I guess you had to be there!

iPod for Christmas!!

I have the best husband in the world! Here's the story... I asked for an iPod last year for Christmas and I am sad to say that I didn't get it. Chris told me that if I waited for next year they would probably come out with a newer version. Well, he was right! So this year for Christmas I asked for a iPod again. I was very sad again because I didn't get one. So Chris being the best husband in the whole world gave me his Chrismas money and said that I could buy one!! I love him so much, and I love my new iPod so much too!! Thanks Chris, you're the best!!

Christmas Traditions

I can not believe that tomorrow is Christmas... so crazy! This year has gone by so fast. I just wanted to share some of our traditions growing up and the ones that we have now. This tradition started when we first moved to Arizona in 1990. On Christmas Eve we went to the Landmark in Mesa for dinner. My sister April arranged it and made sure that there was an extra seat for Christ. We were out to celebrate his birthday! Then we would go home and open one present. Usually from Nana and Papa (my dad's parents). The would always send us pajamas wich were nice to go to bed in that night! In the morning all of us kids would wake up early!! We were allowed to open our stockings but we had to wait for our parents to wake up before opening anything else. And we weren't allowed to wake them up. That afternoon we would go to the movies and when we got home we would have a Christmas feast!!! We always had ham and sparkling cider! Now that Chris and I are married we have to split the holiday between our families. On Christmas Eve we have a family party at his Grandma Sherry's house. All of his extended family (on the McCleve side) comes over. The last couple of years we had mexican food, but this year we had pizza. Chris' Great Grandma June always finds some clever way to hide money in something and we have to figure out how to get it out! Grandma Sherry also gives us money on something cute, and his grandpa hands out $20 bills to everyone. Gotta love the grandparetns!! I think this year was the best party yet. As Chris' sisters get older we build better relationships! It's fun to get to know them better! Anyways, it was really nice tonight, and I had a good time! On Christmas morning we wake up and do our stockings and gifts and then we go to his parents house and do gifts with them! Because there are 6 kids plus me we draw names (so we don't have to buy for everyone). We always get something for his parents. I love See's Candy, so we usually give both our parents gift certificates there plus a GC to a resturaunt. After visiting with the Fallbecks we go over to my parent's house and do presents with them. That afternoon we still go to the movies! Tomorrow we are going to see National Treasurer 2. I am really excited!! And tomorrow night we are going to have Christmas Dinner with ham! Yum!! And that's it! Sorry that was a forever long story! I love Christmas!! I can't wait to have a family of our own to carry on these traditions!

Like I said before, last night was our office Christmas Party! It was really fun, and the food was great! After we ate and had our Christmas program we played the White Elephant Gift exchange! I forgot to get 2 gifts, so we ended up bringing "brownies in a jar". We had a whole bag of rolls leftover from the potluck, so I found some newspaper and wrapped them up!! It was really funny! I ended up with a hour massage (lucky me!!) and Chris got chocolate covered pretzels and cookie cutters! I guess I got the best of both ends!! I love our friends, we have such a good time with them!!

It's about time I post a picture of our house! We have had our lights up for almost 2 weeks, so I finally got pictures! I love our Christmas lights! It's kind of funny because I have to buy the red strands at Target and the green refill bulbs at Walmart. You think they would sell the same kind at the same place, but they don't. I make it work! Anyways... I love living in our new house!! It's so nice to have our own space!

Christmas Tree!

Yeash for Christmas trees!! This will be our 4th Christmas together, but the first one with a big tree! The last 3 years we have had a little Charly Brown tree. Thanks to my mom and her great bargain shopping, she found this tree for us for only $15!! What a great deal! This was also my first time decorating the tree all by my self! My mom usually helps me, because we live in QC my mom didn't want to drive out there so I got to do it by myself! I think I did a pretty good job! Here is an up close picture! I love Target (that's where I got my ornaments)!

Christmas Lantern

This is my Christmas lantern! Chris helped me make it. He is so talented! I love it! I am going to put a sign on it that says "Merry Christmas", and then it will go outside by my front door. I am so excited! Chris cut it out last year, but we never got it painted and decorated, so I am so excited to have it almost finished! Thanks Chris you're the BEST!!

Mud Bogging!

Chris decided to take our car on an adventure today! We have a undeveloped subdivision behind our house, and it was all muddy from when it rained last week. Chris thought it would be fun to go play in it. Our car is usually orange, but you can't really tell because of all the mud! This picture really doesn't show how much mud is on it. I was really hoping that it would rain tonight and it did! It was funny because Chris and I were driving while it was raining and big chunks of mud would fall of and make weird noises, Chris said that our car was pooping! I guess you had to be there because it was pretty funny!

We've Moved!

We made the move to Queen Creek! I'm so excited to finally have our own space again!! We have been living with my parents since June, and it's about time to move out. Our house is so cute, I love it!!! I will post some pictures once we get our Christmas lights up and our house half way organized inside!!! We just found out that we will be in the same ward as our friends Trent and Lucy!! We are going to have lots of fun! Choir Concert

Chris' younger sister Stefani is a senior at Westwood this year! She sings in Honor Choir and had 2 concerts this weekend. The first one was on Sunday at the school. It's always fun to go listen to her sing. Her group is pretty good!! This past summer I was the Girls Camp specialist for my ward, and most of the girls are Stefani's age and go to Westwood with her! So it was fun to see them too!! The second concert was at the Temple on Monday. I love going to the temple!! It is even more beautiful this time of year!

Thanksgiving Day!

For Thanksgiving we ate at Chris' grandmas house at 12pm. It was fun to catch up with his sisters! We don't see them very often, so it's nice to hang out and see what's goin on in their lives. Then we ate at my parents and 2pm. (I know, that's a lot of food!) I did pretty good though, I didn't over eat and I was proud of myself! We have a family tradition of going to the movies on holidays, so we went and saw Enchanted! It was such a cute movie! I will definately buy it when it comes out on DVD! That night my mom and I went to Walmart to sit in line to get a Wii. We left at midnight and by 1am we found a Walmart that was going to sell them at 5am. We were 2nd in line!!! It was a long night, but we got what we went for!! Right before 5 my mom noticed that her diamond in her ring fell out. I think I was more sad than she was, I guess she just came to the realization quicker than I did that we probably weren't going to find it. :(
I guess it's about time I write about some things that I'm Thankful for.....
*Chris-I am so thankful for how much he loves me and for all the things that he does for me and is willing to do for me. I am so lucky!
*Family & Friends that love us-I don't know where Chris and I would be without all the love and support we have gotten from our true friends and family.
*The Gospel-Our lives are forever changed!
*Primerica-The freedom that it allows us to have! We are going to change so many lives!
*Music-I don't know what to say... I just LOVE music! Everything about it!
*Cooler weather-Yeah!!! I can't wait to move to Utah so we can have beautiful weather year round!!
*Home-I am thankful that I have a place to call home! There are so many people out there that can't say that. We forget how blessed we really are.
*Jack & Sam-I LOVE our dogs!! They make me so happy! :)
*Pictures-They capture the moments that we might forget someday, even though they are worth remembering!
*Safety-We have been blessed with safety and I am so thankful for that.

This is Lilly. She is 3 and has the cutest curly hair. Today Heather (her mom) straitened it, and she looks so cute! She loves her hair "long"! I also gave her a haircut today! It was more like a trim, but I will take credit for her first haircut!! She is the cutest girl. Both her and Joy are so smart. I love how involved Heather is with them. I wish that they lived closer so I can be more apart of their lives.

This is Joy and she is 10. She has grown up so fast. My mom and her parents went to New York in September and they brought us back these pajama bottoms! I really do love New York! It was fun to match with her!

Fall is my favorite time of the year (other than winter!) but fall leads into winter right!? I love that the weather is finally getting cooler! Although I can't wait to live somewhere where we can enjoy the changing seasons.
I am so excited! I just found out that my brother, his wife and 2 girls are coming for Thanksgiving! They live in Idaho and I haven't seen them in over a year. They will be here for a whole week! I can't wait to see how much the girls have grown up. Can you believe that Thanksgiving is next week? This year has gone by so fast. It seems that the older I get the years go by faster. I guess that's why they say enjoy everyday as if it were your last.
